Why cant i play xbox games on my xbox 360?
For xmas i got a xbox 360 elite. I wanted to play rallysport 2 on it. Rallysport is an original xbox game and it says that the xbox doesnt support the game. Why is this!? Thanks for answers!

only some original xbox games work.
You can only play regular x box games on x box 360 if it has a gold band on the case cover
Because microsoft got lazy and didn’t install backward compatibility hardware on the 360. Instead, they made the consumers have to either order the disc, download and burn a disc, or connect to LIVE to download emulation software onto their hard drives just to make SOME original XBOX games work.
You can play any xbox games on xbox 360 if you get xbox live.
There’s a bunch of games that aren’t supported… some work fine… and some you have to download a patch or update to get them working.

Not all xbox games work but i don’t see why. You have to read the label if it says xbox only.
there is a software coverter you have to download and load to the 360 to play original xbox games
